Atmospheric, powerful and emotional. The indie/ folk rock music of David Burnage features gripping distinct vocal character and vulnerable, honest songwriting. All served with a sprinkling of stadium backing vocals, soaring guitar riffs and electronic experimentation. Hailing from the coast of East Sussex, David’s music is reflective of the ocean he grew up beside. From the calm, peaceful waters of a summer day to the raging waves of a darkened evening, his songwriting explores the spectrum of emotion at its extremes.

His unmistakable deep and dark, weathered vocal delivers lyrics saturated in meaning, purpose and substance. Reflecting on the joy and suffering of human nature; the regret of the past, the hope, anxiety for the future, and the pursuit of dreams. David’s care for lyrical attention is proved in his catalogue of songs and his often powerful and rhythmic rhyming flirts the boundary of poetry.
